I moved to the beach cities about eight months ago and have tried every small Mexican restaurant I could find. This hidden gem is the best by far and still relatively unknown. The atmosphere is fantastic, and despite its small size, the service is exceptional. They serve delicious chips and salsa, and the food is outstanding. Once people discover this place, it's sure to become a local favorite.

The food was very good and prices were good also compared to any other local Mexican place. Small restaurant parking is limited but should be able to find street parking if needed. I ordered carne asada tacos and they definitely didn't skimp on the meat. It was overflowing, my coworkers got the wet burrito and they were huge. So worth the money and tasty .

Wife and I went to original El Amigo for shrimp ceviche; however, we learned that the location on Manhattan Beach Blvd doesn't have Ceviche. So we came to this location and enjoyed my Steak Ranchero with rice and beans and my wife had her large bowl of ceviche. Delicious!

Amigo #3 says it already. This guys are amazing and they need to open more Amigos! Food is delicious. Tacos de lengua are my favorite, but I abbot say no to a simple cheese quesadillas I usually order on the go for home or for my meetings when I need to feed 10/20 people and I want to make sure they experience the real Mexican food in LA. Occasionally I eat them with my family watching some games on the tv. Ambience vey casual.

Good food. Great portion size. Great service. This is more of a value driven meal with friendly service. You walk to the front counter, place an order, and you can seat yourself at an open table or take it to go. As for the food itself, it is fresh and tastes good. We ordered two wet burritos with half red sauce and half green sauce. The red sauce is mild and the green sauce is slightly spicy. Good stuff. The three carne asada taco plate also comes with rice and beans. They also give complimentary chips and salsa. Parking is located behind the restaurant. Or you can grab street parking. What you don't want to do is park in the lot that is connected to the clinic. There are signs indicating that if you park at the clinic you risk getting towed. Also when you walk in through the front door there is immediate seating area. However there is also a dining area in the rear of the restaurant. Overall good value.
